Terms of Service

1. What Menuo is

Menuo is a free web application for weekly meal planning, managing recipes, and sharing shopping lists within a household. Some features use artificial intelligence, for example importing recipes from links or photos. The service is operated by [Imię i nazwisko / nazwa administratora danych]("we"). By creating an account or using Menuo you accept these terms.

2. Accounts

  • You need an account (email and password, or Google sign-in) to use Menuo.
  • You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
  • Keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity on your account.
  • Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

3. Your content

  • You own your content. Recipes, meal plans, photos, and lists you add remain yours.
  • You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, process, and display your content solely to provide the service — including showing it to the other members of your household.
  • Do not upload content that is unlawful, infringes third-party rights (including copyrighted recipes or photos you have no right to use), or is harmful or offensive.
  • You are responsible for the content you upload. We do not review user content proactively, but we may remove content that violates these terms or applicable law, and we respond to substantiated notices.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • disrupt or overload the service, or attempt to gain unauthorized access,
  • scrape the service or use it to build a competing dataset,
  • reverse engineer the application except where the law permits it,
  • use the service to send spam or distribute malware,
  • impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation.

5. AI features

AI-assisted features (such as recipe import) can make mistakes: quantities, ingredients, allergens, or preparation steps may be extracted incorrectly. Always verify AI-imported recipes before relying on them — especially regarding allergens and food safety. AI results are suggestions that you review and confirm before saving; they are not dietary, medical, or nutritional advice.

6. Availability

Menuo is a free service provided "as is"and "as available". We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or that the service will meet your expectations. We may add, change, or discontinue features, or suspend the service for maintenance.

7. Liability

To the extent permitted by Polish and EU law, our liability for damages arising from the use of this free service is limited to cases of willful misconduct. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights that consumers have under mandatory provisions of Polish or EU consumer law, or liability that cannot be excluded by law.

8. Termination

  • You may stop using Menuo and delete your account at any time in the app settings.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that materially or repeatedly violate these terms, after notice where feasible.
  • Upon deletion, your data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. We will announce material changes in the app with reasonable advance notice. If you do not accept the updated terms, stop using the service and delete your account; continued use after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by Polish law. If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of your EU country of residence. Disputes will be resolved by the competent common courts; consumers may also use the EU online dispute resolution platform (ec.europa.eu/odr).
